e2v technologies of the UK has introduced the L3Vision Overcast Day/Night 24/7 Low Light camera. This camera resolves at 430TVL and by utilising an amplifier on the CCD chip, the operator is able to utilize the camera from bright sunlight at 100,000 lux down to starlight at 1mlux giving an illuminance inter-scene dynamic range of one hundred million to one. The camera is able to operate in Full Daylight to Overcast Starlight. The camera utilises an Amplified Peltier cooled 1" chip, anti blooming technology as well as a Liquid Crystal Polymer Shutter eliminating frame shift smear.
